All year groups follow the National Curriculum (2014) for all subjects except Religious Education where we follow the Locally Agreed Syllabus for learning as recommended by Nottinghamshire County Council.
In English and Phonics, we use Read Write Inc across the school to ensure full curriculum coverage whilst keeping a 'creative approach' to teaching children to read and write.
The school uses a cross-curricular approach to teaching and learning. This means that skills, knowledge and understanding across a range of subjects are brought together and form a topic. New for September 2016, we are using the Cornerstones Curriculum for Topic lessons. Within the topics, children are able to practice and apply their reading, maths and English skills in other subject areas.
