Anglesey Residential 2017
Check out our amazing pictures from Anglesey 2017!
Python Hill raises a whopping £762.11 for Children in Need!
Our fund raising efforts included wearing spotty clothes/non-uniform, selling cakes and 'Pudsey toast', as well as collecting loose change in our class 'Pudsey Pots'. The winning class was 1FW with 1EB coming a close second. Both classes will get a prize.
A massive 'thank you' to everyone who supported this event.
Well despite the awful weather we had an amazing turnout for the Summer Fayre today! Thank you to everyone who came and supported the school; we raised a staggering £1372 for school funds. This is an amazing total and thanks must go all the staff and parents who gave up their time to run stalls. A massive thank you to Mrs. Bowler, Miss Weldon and Mrs. Coupe for their hours of hard work spent organising the event.

Helping Churchfield Nursing Home Celebrate the Queen's 90th Birthday
Once again our school choir did us proud when they helped celebrate Queen Elizabeth's 90th birthday at Churchfield Nursing Home in the village. Both staff and residents enjoyed the singing. Some of the residents danced and the feedback from the home was very positive. Our singing brought 'tears of joy because it was so beautiful.' We would like to say a big thank you to parents that helped us walk to the home. Without you we wouldn't have been able to put a smile on the faces of our local community. Python Hill School Choir Does It Again!
Once again the school choir excelled itself when performing locally at the village hall. The group that we sang to were so pleased with our excellent behaviour and singing that they sent us this message:
"To Mrs Metcalfe and the School Choir,
Thank you so much for the wonderful performance you gave to Rainworth and District U3A in the village hall. Everyone was delighted, uplifted and full of admiration to you and the children. It was stunning!
It certainly made our Christmas meeting most enjoyable.
Kind regards and a very Happy Christmas to you all."
I'd like to thank choir for their continued hard work.
Cool Choir Event
Our school choir took part in Mansfield's Cool Choirs event along with other schools from the local area. Each school sang five songs from their chosen decade. The choir san beautifully and Python Hill is very proud of them. The organisers were particularly impressed when they sang 'Let it go' by themselves without the music.
