Year 1/2 Healthy Lunchboxes

 We had Mel and Caroline, from the Nutritional Team at Newark and Sherwood District Council come  in and tell us about how we can make our lunchboxes healthier. we found out that just by making small changes in our lunchboxes we can make a big difference to the health of our bodies and learning. If we swap a cake for a piece of fruit we are helping our body maintain itself. We need pasta, bread, potato and rice for energy, so we could have pasta salad instead of a sandwich. A carton of fruit juice can be one of our Five a Day. How could you improve yours?
