Year 2 - Pirate Dressing Up Day

On Friday 28th June, as part of our Summer topic work on ‘Pirates’, the Year 2 children in both classes took part in a ‘Pirate Theme Dressing-up Day’.

Throughout the day children took part in lots of different activities linked to pirates, such as designing their own treasure maps, making their own pirate masks and icing biscuits to look like pirate faces.

In the afternoon they also took part in a pirate treasure hunt around school, where the children had to find clues and piece together jig-saw piece pictures to work out the next clue location.

After the final clue, the children located a bag of treasure hidden in their classroom which was shared out between the children, and the goodies were taken home at the end of the day!
